Bogota, Colombia. August of 2018. - According to a report by the National Association of Perfumery and Cosmetics STANPA, Spain is ranked in the top 10 ranking of the world exporters of beauty products. In 2017, the export figures of the sector reached 3,900 million euros with a growth of 10.5% over the previous year.
Thanks to this growth, many Spanish companies are looking for a way to expand and have found in Colombia a market that is growing rapidly. This is how this year, Belleza y Salud will receive a delegation from Spain with 15 expert companies in research, development and manufacture of cosmetic products.
One of these companies is Laboratorios Valquer, which since its founding in 1975 has offered dynamic and innovative answers for the professional sectors of hairdressing, aesthetics and others related to beauty and both corporal and capillary health.
"We want to bring to the Colombian market professional products of the highest quality, respectful of the environment and with all the guarantees that a 100% Spanish production can offer. We are looking for a distributor for Colombia. Some of our lines can already be found in Ecuador, Chile, Panama, Mexico, the United States, as well as in Europe, Africa, Asia and the Middle East", says José Angel D'Amico Bravo, export manager of Laboratorios Valquer.
Its main audience is the female, although this year they have begun to work with a line for men of hair waxes with good results. You can choose between strong fix matte or normal fixation and normal fix shine. It also protects against UV radiation.
"Our laboratory is rigorous in compliance with the ISO 14.001 standard on the environment. We do not test animals and we also take care of human health by innovating with products without parabens, sulfates, MIT (methylisothiazolinone) and other preservatives. We have received distinctions such as 'Innovation 2015', the award for the '100 best innovative ideas 2016' and the award 'Innovative Pyme'" states D'Amico.
Among its most innovative products are a sunscreen for hair, a juvenile line and a depigmenting serum:
Valisol has a combination of active and ultraviolet filters that protects hair from the effects of sun, wind, salt and chlorine. Contains sea silk, an asset obtained from seaweed.
It prevents the degradation of the hair fiber and minimizes the loss of color and shine due to the action of a filter with great affinity with the hair. Hydrates and nourishes in depth, preparing the hair for sun exposure.
Cuidados is a youth brand focused on both facial and body care and hair. It is identified by having different characters representing the line and its components, such as Olive Love (cosmetics based on olive oil) and Ginger Strong (a shampoo with ginger).
Bullon Serum Depigmenting is a corrector of spots with intensive bleaching effect that gradually reduces the appearance of skin blemishes.
Applied directly on the spots of the skin, it achieves a lightening effect and the stain loses intensity with its continued use.
Belleza y Salud is the largest celebration in Colombia around this industry and reaches its XVII edition from October 3 to October 7 in Corferias. In one place, experts and national and international brands will meet to show visitors the latest products, new trends and advances related to comprehensive beauty for modern women and men.
